Omnitarium one sheets

Here are a couple of test one-sheets, created by Josh Gorfain, to help push the book:

Status report is very good as the book nears completion - we are well ahead of our deadline and the pages should be with Ka-blam in the next few days.

Omnitarium #1 Cover Preview

Here's a preview of the cover for the first issue of Omnitarium, by series artist, J.C. Grande.

The book is in the final stages of lettering, so should be well and truly ready in time for Indy Comic Book Week.

Also, the book will be going out under the Ronin Studios banner - a great Indie company that have been putting out some fantastic books for a while now.

We have another pin up!

I received the final four pages of inks at the weekend - one small change to make to a panel, and then that's it for the art, issue one completed... over to Bernie Lee for lettering.

We will have some scripted preview pages and a cover to show in the next week or so, and the book will be going to the printers early in November, ready for Indy Comic Book Week.

In the meantime, here's another pin up by the supremely nice and very talented Victor Cabanelas - this one shows Omnitarium's Inquisitor Lord Blutstein - guardian of our world, Knight Templar and "Hammer of God" - he's the man that stops people like Harrow Moonheart!

Enjoy!

Almost There!

Excuse the tardiness with posting, the day job has been getting in the way of this aspect of the book, but rest assured all is well at Monkeypipestudios!

Omnitarium nears completion, the cover and last four pages are being worked upon, the script tightened and made ready to send to Bernie Lee for lettering, and all is looking good for the book to be ready to go to Ka-Blam in time for ICBW.

While we wait for the cover - which will be the next image we want to show you - here's a couple of pin-ups to whet your appetites:

First up we have Harrow Moonheart - the villain of Omnitarium. This fantastically dynamic piece brought to you by the very talented Drew Moss:

Next up is a piece by the fantastic Nate Snareser, showing a character who makes his debut in issue #2, the master-thief and escape artist, Lucius Allain:

We hope, as we get closer to completion for issue one, to have more pin-ups, character sketches and, soon, some lettered preview pages to show you all soon.

Stars Aligned!

With the release date having been tentatively set for around Dec '09/Jan '10, the announcement of Indy Comic Book Week has given us a spur to push for the release to be during this event.

I already have three or four local book stores interested in carrying Omnitarium, and with pages 1-20 now finished, and pages 21-24 and the cover mapped out, things are looking good.

More will follow soon.

Quick Update

Pages one through fifteen are completed, with pages sixteen to twenty roughed.

Lettering on issue one will begin in October, looking to have the issue finished by the end of November and ready to send for print in December - the January 2010 release date is still looking very good.

We're hoping to have a cover to show you shortly, and a finished logo design in place soon - one test logo is complete, another is being worked on. Once these are done, we will test both on cover work and see which plays best.

Omnitarium

Work on our first book has started, with the art on issue one's first five pages done. Lettering commences next week, the next batch of art should be ready soon.

Omnitarium is a period horror, showing the infamous black magician, Lucius Moonheart attempt to reclaim life and re-enter our world nearly one hundred years on from his hanging. Using the misery and sorrow of those people condemned to hang in the titular Victorian prison, the only person that's stands between Moonheart and success is Inquisitor Blutstein, the man who originally caught and condemned him to his death.

Written by Jamie Gambell, with art by J.C. Grande and lettering/design by Bernie Lee, Omnitarium will be a four 24-page issue black and white series and should be out early 2010.

Preview pages will be posted soon, and logo work and so forth is being completed as we type.

More to follow...
